The past few years have been characterized by rapid digital change. Whereas in the past several hours of travel time were invested, today a short online meeting is often sufficient. The BLANK-Group in Riedlingen is also dealing with these realities. "It's nice to see that in many cases processes are being made more efficient," explains Alexander Lenert, Managing Director at BLANK, “But especially to get to know a company, we really missed the face-to-face meetings during the pandemic." The investment casting process consists of many complex individual steps, which are often presented to visitors during on-site meetings. To be prepared for the future, BLANK has implemented a 360 degree company tour on its homepage. “This is not intended to replace on-site appointments," says Rainer Bühler from the sales department, "The tour is intended as a supplement - especially for customers who have a long journey. Here, a virtual tour is a good first step before an on-site visit."
After a personal welcome the BLANK company tour guides the visitor through all the manufacturing steps and presents the working environment at BLANK in production and administration. "It's also worthwhile for applicants to take a look," knows HR Manager Christian Gaupp, "They can get to know the company and their future workplace as well as look at the training premises. Appealing explanatory videos and info texts provide supplementary details."
For customers an intersectoral virtual parts presentation offers an initial insight into the range of services at BLANK. Just a click away, a training room provides a supplementary overview of current development services and a clickable map ensures that visitors can find their way around the tour. In addition, it is possible to jump between the different rooms via a view in the footer. Those who want to experience investment casting can also watch the casting at BLANK through VR glasses. "This is particularly interesting for trade fairs in order to entrain visitors," says Christian Gaupp. A highlight of the tour is certainly the view into a machine tool and a casting tool in the BLANK mould shop.
"It was exciting to find new perspectives through 360 ° shots and video sequences to show the manufacturing process," says Lenert, "The result is a really very nice, informative tour, to which we cordially invite everyone!"
