“Committee International” of the Chamber of Commerce (IHK) of Ulm meets at the BLANK-Group

On 22 March 2022 the international committee of the Ulm Chamber of Commerce met in Riedlingen at the BLANK-Group. The entrepreneurs and managing directors who attended the meeting as members of the committee are from the region and regularly report on their experiences in foreign business. The aim of the committee is to advise the IHK on international issues so that it can facilitate access to foreign markets for small and medium-sized companies. In doing so, the IHK Ulm draws on a broad network and substantial experience. "The globalization and internationalization of the economy is progressing rapidly. Modern communication facilities are accelerating this development," explains Amir Alizadeh, Head of International Enterprise Europe Network at IHK Ulm, "We support companies in this dynamic environment, for example by providing new sales channels and business contacts."

Stefan Ionkov, Head of the Economic and Trade Department of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria, was a guest at the meeting in Riedlingen. In his presentation he introduced Bulgaria as an industrial country and production location. During a stimulating Q&A session and discussion afterwards, he answered a variety of questions about his country and the economic as well as bureaucratic conditions. "We would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Ionkov once again for this interesting input on the choice of Bulgaria as a location," said Alizadeh.
At the end of the meeting Alexander Lenert, Managing Director of the BLANK-Group, gave an insight into the world of investment casting by guiding the members of the committee through the company. The imposing casting of the metal at temperatures of up to 1600 °C in the company's foundry was particularly impressive. "As a member of the committee, I was very pleased to have the opportunity to present our manufacturing process," said Lenert, "This was a successful end to an informative afternoon."
