On 27 July 2021, the Chamber of Architects of Baden Württemberg awarded 15 objects under the aspect of "Exemplary Construction". Among the 53 submissions was also the construction project "BLANK Business Center" which was planned and realised with the architects of kerler + partner in Sigmaringen. The jury of experts, chaired by Bernadette Siemensmeyer, a freelance landscape architect, evaluated the exterior design, the interior room formation and many other aspects. After two days of intensive consultation the winners were finally determined - among them the performance for the „BLANK Business Center“.
One of the factors specified in the decision-making process was that the building was constructed on existing fabric, whereby elements such as the staircase in the old building were preserved and stylishly integrated into the new architecture and a varied office landscape.
The award will be presented at an official award ceremony in October. "We are happy about the award and the appreciation of the construction project," explains Robert Rettich, head of operational management at BLANK. "A lot of work and heart and soul went into the redesign of the office complex. The successful implementation was only possible through the excellent cooperation with the architects of kerler + partner and the companies involved in the construction to whom we would like to express our sincere thanks once again.“
