Parting into retirement – David Otto, employee in the assembly department celebrates his retirement

David Otto who retired in December 2019 looks back to seven pleasant and challenging years at FEINGUSS BLANK. He joined the company in May 2012 and worked in the divisions pressing and EB-welding (electron beam welding) including corresponding examinations.

After the closing of the local dairy factory Mr. Otto changed to BLANK at the age of 58. He saw this as a new chance for progress and further education. In 2015 Mr. Otto changed to the division EB welding serial production. ”David has always been a very precise and reliable employee who even learned new things at the age of 60 and was trained on the high technology EB welding devices”, emphasizes Mr. Auchter, Head of the assembly department. “I like to learn that, too!” is a typical statement of Mr. Otto which arouses high respect and a smile among all his colleagues when they think of it: “Typical David!”

Mr. Otto was appreciated for this motivated, committed and calm nature giving his best every day. “He worked in the three-shift system until his last working day which is not a matter of course”, so Jürgen Litz, Manager of Organizational Development and Central Services. Furthermore Mr. Otto supported the mechanical processing department by numerous additional shifts. Naike Nassal, Head of Human Resources Management at BLANK, gave Mr. Otto a backpack with a “starter kit” for pensioners including tickets for the thermal bath, a towel and some sweets. “I wish you health, satisfaction and joy of discovery. Have a lot of fun.”

It was a hard farewell for the popular employee and his colleagues who gave him a packet full of sweets and a basket with gardening tools for his vegetable garden. Mr. Otto is now starting with a smiling and a weeping eye into the next exciting chapter of his life. We wish him an exciting time, a flourishing garden and above all health.
