At company BLANK in Riedlingen, employees can also work in home office in agreement with their superiors and the team. This is possible under the condition that the respective job is suitable for this. The possibility to work from home has existed at BLANK already before Corona. However, mobile working was significantly increased by the pandemic and the existing regulations were expanded, the company told upon request. About 80 employees can work from home at BLANK. Activities that are highly production-related or require a lot of coordination with production unfortunately cannot be done in the home office or only to a limited extent. The company's experience with the concept has been mostly positive. "After initial frequent use, however, we also feel that particularly project-related tasks can be carried out more effectively and efficiently by being present while complying with health regulations," says Manuela Schmid from Corporate Communications. Digital conferences are now the order of the day and allow uncomplicated coordination among colleagues. At BLANK, home office is particularly suitable for activities where you need peace and quiet and should not be disturbed. But of course there is a lack of collegial interaction, especially informal conversations and social contact.
