"Give us your sample and win a voucher for € 5,000", was the slogan used by testing machine manufacturer Zwick GmbH & Co. KG for a competition in which the most spectacular, destroyed specimen, which is particularly impressively torn or broken, was sought at Zwick. FEINGUSS BLANK, a long-standing business partner of the company, did not want to miss out on taking part in the competition and sent a BLANK part into the race for the competition.

A characteristic of the destructive test is that the investment casting part cannot be reused after the quality test for its chemical and physical properties. This also applies for the tensile test, in which tensile strength, yield strength and elongation at break are determined under uniformly increasing tensile stress.

At the draw in October 2018 FEINGUSS BLANK was able to assert itself with such a tensile test of the material 1.4435 from a customer order of the Industry division and received a voucher worth 5.000 € for a software of Zwick GmbH & Co. KG, which was handed over to quality inspector Mr. Schanz by Mrs. Höpfner. He was very pleased with the prize: "We can use the voucher well for a software application in the quality area to further improve our test procedures."
