Having roasted sausages or Swabian specialities like Dennete (Swabian “pizza” topped with sour cream and bacon) and Mauldascha (Swabian ravioli) the employees of the investment casting company in Riedlingen enjoyed the festive atmosphere in the BLANK Christmas village. The workers’ council and the trainees, together with commercial market suppliers, local schools and associations, had once again created a festive setting to ring in the Christmas season at BLANK.
In addition to delicious delicacies such as homemade cookies from the pupils of the Riedlingen secondary school or oven-fresh Dennete at the Reck family stand, the Daugendorf and Pflummern music clubs as well as the angels’ choir of the pupils of the Riedlingen district high school provided a pleasant atmosphere with Christmas melodies. In the evening the band “Jetlag” heated up the employees with rock hits. For capturing special Christmas village moments, a photo box was again available this year, which was used by all attendants. The management and the management team also surprised by working behind the sales counters. In various market stalls they helped with the preparation of the food or the distribution of the drinks and had a lot of fun.
As an additional surprise, the new Managing Director Mr. Hubert Deutsch was introduced to the employees of FEINGUSS und FORMENBAU BLANK GmbH at the Christmas Village. He will be working for the entire BLANK Group from 01.01.2019. Mr. Deutsch was also a guest at the Christmas village and so the employees had the opportunity to get to know their new managing director at Christmas time. For the stay in the Christmas village each employee received food vouchers for 25 €, whereby the unused vouchers could be donated to a good cause. This year the donation of 500 € goes to the St. Fidelis youth welfare service in Heudorf. Dr. Blank, Interim Managing Director at BLANK, was delighted with the positive outcome of the event: "I like to thank all involved persons for the success of the Christmas Village and wish all employees a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2019".
