In September, Thomas Dörflinger, State Secretary at the Ministry for Economic Affairs, Skilled Crafts and Tourism and Member of the Baden-Württemberg State Parliament, and Wolfgang Dahler, Member of the German Bundestag, visited Texmo Blank’s Riedlingen site to learn more about the company’s strategic direction and future plans for the operation.
During the visit, the guests met with Arjunan Ramachandran, CEO, Texmo Group; Stefan Herter, Global Head of Central Program Management; Kai Biller, Head of Manufacturing; and colleagues from across the Riedlingen team. Discussions focused on the continued development of the site, its specialist manufacturing capabilities and the opportunities presented by markets including aerospace, industrial gas turbines and medical applications.
Building on Established Strengths
Texmo Blank’s Riedlingen site has a long-established manufacturing heritage, including significant experience supporting the automotive industry. Against the backdrop of reduced demand across the automotive sector, Texmo Blank is continuing to adapt its market focus and develop opportunities across a broader range of technically demanding applications.
A key focus is the continued development of capabilities for aerospace, industrial gas turbine and medical applications, where complex component requirements, specialist materials and high levels of process control align closely with the technical expertise established at the Riedlingen site.
Arjunan Ramachandran highlighted the importance of building on these existing strengths: “Our strength lies in the combination of know-how and manufacturing capability that has been built up over many years. The expertise of our people, together with the infrastructure and technical capabilities we have in Riedlingen, provides a strong foundation for the future.”
The visit provided an opportunity to see first-hand how Texmo Blank is continuing to develop its manufacturing expertise to support these markets and increasingly complex component requirements.

Investing in People and Skills
People and skills were an important part of the discussions, reflecting the role that specialist knowledge and experience play in the future development of the Riedlingen site. Texmo Blank remains focused on strengthening the technical expertise required to support its target markets, while continuing to develop the skills and knowledge already established within the Riedlingen team.
“The knowledge and experience of our people are fundamental to what we can achieve in Riedlingen,” said Arjunan Ramachandran. “Continuing to develop those skills will be an important part of the site’s future.”
Combining this experience with the continued development of specialist manufacturing capabilities further strengthens the Riedlingen site’s role within Texmo Blank’s global operations.
An Important Employer in the Region
For Thomas Dörflinger and Wolfgang Dahler, the visit provided an opportunity to gain a closer understanding of Texmo Blank’s operations in Riedlingen, the expertise within the team and the company’s direction for the future.
Thomas Dörflinger acknowledged the progress made in recent years and the company’s importance to the region: “It is encouraging to see that, following the major challenges of recent years, Texmo Blank has developed a clear perspective for the future. As an important employer in the region, this development is also significant for Riedlingen as a business location.”
Wolfgang Dahler also highlighted the potential for stronger connections within the regional business community: “The visit has shown the expertise and potential that exists here. Closer links with other companies in the region could also be valuable for Texmo Blank, and I would be happy to help bring the right people together.”
Looking Ahead
The visit concluded with a positive exchange on the future development of Texmo Blank’s Riedlingen site and the opportunities ahead. By building on its established manufacturing expertise, specialist technical capabilities and experienced workforce, Texmo Blank will continue to develop the Riedlingen site to support increasingly complex requirements across its target markets.
Having reshaped its product portfolio and transformed the business following the significant decline in the automotive demand the site once served, Texmo Blank expects the Riedlingen operation to achieve double-digit percentage growth over the next 18 months. Continued engagement with regional representatives and the wider business community will also be important as Texmo Blank builds on the strengths of the Riedlingen operation and looks towards its next phase of development.
