Ten young adults are starting their careers at the BLANK-Group in Riedlingen this year. During a kick-off event on Monday morning, Human Resources and Training Manager Christian Gaupp welcomed the new trainees and students. "This year we have again prepared a varied introductory week to welcome the young people and introduce the company and the employees to them," says Gaupp.

“There will be a production scavenger hunt that gives a quick overview of the different production sections." This was introduced last year and the concept proved successful. "It is important to us that an understanding of the production process is developed and that the trainees get to know the people responsible in the departments," explains Ellen-Sofie Schwörer, HR Business Partner and organizer of the introductory week.

Beside to get to know the company, the introductory week focuses above all on the team spirit. For example, the trainees and students can look forward to a team-building event organized by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce and a round of adventure golf with all trainees and trainers. A training session on "First Steps" in working life with all kinds of useful tips rounds off the programme. "The young people should feel welcome right from the start and have contact persons in the company to help them with questions of any kind," says Gaupp.

After the introductory week the new trainees will start their basic training at the training center or in the corresponding specialist departments, depending on their profession. "We wish them a lot of fun and much success for their training or studies in the company."

Currently 28 trainees and dual students are undergoing training at BLANK.
